Finding Manoomin is our Emmy-winning documentary filmmaking project with MPR News and TPT. The film follows reporter Leah Lemm as she reconnects with her Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe community and the sacred harvest of wild rice. Shot by Ben Garvin and produced by Lindsey Seavert, the story blends interviews, scenic drone footage, underwater shots, and time spent on reservation land with elders and family.
